Manufacturer Prices For Finished Goods Rise Just 0.1%
With prices for finished goods other than food and energy declining three-tenths of a percentage point last month, the U.S. Labor Department's Producer Price Index (PPI) for Finished Goods rose just a tenth of a percent in July on a seasonally adjusted basis. Read more

Boeing And Russian VSMPO-Avisma Announce Titanium Joint Venture
Boeing announced it has signed a 50/50 equity joint venture agreement with Russia's VSMPO-Avisma for machining titanium forgings at VSMPO's facilities in Verkhnaya Salda, Russia. VSMPO will perform rough machining of the forgings with final machining and processing done in Boeing’s Portland, Ore., fabrication facility. Read more

EPA, Industry Groups Outline Mercury-Switch Solution
The U.S. EPA and a host of industry groups have completed details of a nationwide program to retrieve mercury-containing light switches from scrapped vehicles prior to processing as scrap. The program is designed to cut mercury air emission by up to 75 tons over the next 15 years. Read more
